Lindsay McGloughlan Confused by all the entries on the web I called Castle Stairlifts. It is a small business but they know what they are talking about and within 24 hours arranged two quotes direct from the manufacturers for the family to discuss. Both were a lot cheaper than obtained when calling the big firms directly and a top class branded stairlift was fitted for my Dad in Glasgow within a week of our decision. Going direct is the best way by sure and having someone like Keith and Ann at Castle Comfort made what can be a complicated business simple. The issue of whether or not to go for a grant was discussed and cleared up. Recommended.

Alexis Bain I promised you a testimonial once the stairlift was installed and Mary had mastered it, well here it is.
Mary, who is in her mid eighties, has found that her legs, which were getting so sore from having to go upstairs to tend to her husband Don are now no longer a problem. She thinks it is marvellous, enough said.
I had to oversee installation as Mary had actually become so ill with stress she could not get out of bed on the Wednesday morning that the stairlift was installed. The engineer Paul was efficient, kind and patient with explaining about the stairlift once installed, which as promised only took about an hour to fit. Paul also did a very neat and tidy job.
I have used the stairlift and find it quieter than I expected, very smooth and a great help to getting up the stairs which I have problems with myself. Mary’s son John tried the stairlift out and now has no fear of going up to see his father as stairs are difficult for him due to his health problems.
Even Don, Mary’s husband who did not want the stairlift installed has tried it and apart from one or two stability issues it will probably enable him to get out of his isolated world of the bedroom, and hopefully improve the quality of his life a little.
Even John who called to pick up the balance of payment for the stairlift was polite patient and very funny, a character.
So thank you Castle Comfort Stairlifts (Keith) for a job well done at a very reasonable price with no stupid haggling or sales pressure, and being left with a feeling that back up service and care will not be a problem or a rip off. So I would personally recommend the company to anyone thinking of having a stairlift installed.
